T&V: We usually conduct blower door testing in the Certified Homes program, which uses an ACH50 metric. Can you explain the metric (CFM50/ft2) that is used in MFHR? Does the test procedure change? Follow

The test procedure is essentially the same as procedures dictated by RESNET. The key difference is that guarded testing is explicitly prohibited, as this is a compartmentalization test. The metric is also different as it is based on the entire apartment envelope surface area. For example, a 1,000 ft2 apartment, with 1,000 ft2 of total wall area (party walls and exterior walls), would have a maximum allowance of 900 CFM at 50 Pa.
