T&V: Can you clarify whether a Licensed Professional can conduct the Testing and Verification, or if the project is required to hire a HERS Rater or Commissioning Agent for the MFHR program? Follow

The required submittals to ENERGY STAR MFHR must be signed and validated by a Licensed Professional. This can be the project architect or professional engineer, or a Licensed Professional that is not designing the project, but may be serving as an energy consultant. While a HERS rater is a good candidate for completing the majority of the Testing and Verification, they are not required. Likewise, while a Commissioning agent may be able to complete portions of the Testing and Verification, they are also not required. The only person that is required to have a specific credential is the Licensed Professional. Read more about ENERGY STAR’s MFHR program requirements.
