Lighting: Are there other ways of demonstrating compliance with the IESNA footcandle requirement in the MFHR program besides using the Performance Path calculator? Follow

Yes. During design, if the Performance Path calculator indicates that spaces on the In-Unit Lighting worksheet or the Interior Lighting worksheet are not meeting the recommended footcandles, the team can proceed with the design as-is, if they take light meter readings once the building is occupied, and those readings indicate that the footcandles are achieved. Alternatively, if a more sophisticated lighting software is used by the design team and demonstrates illumination meets IESNA, those can be submitted, however light meter readings will still be required.
