Does EPA recognition supersede some of the lighting specification's NVLAP and CALIPER requirements? Follow

As of Jan 1, 2011, EPA recognition is required for all laboratories conducting photometric testing for ENERGY STAR lighting products. Data obtained for other required test methods (electrical safety or EMI, for example) do not need to be conducted in an EPA-recognized lab, but must still be submitted to a Certification Body for qualification of a product.
