What types of organizations can partner with ENERGY STAR as Service and Product Providers? What are the requirements? Follow

The ENERGY STAR Service and Product Provider (SPP) partnership is available for organizations that provide energy efficiency services and/or products to commercial buildings and industrial manufacturing plants in the United States. This includes architects, distributors, energy consultant/energy management services companies, energy improvement contractors, energy information services, energy services companies, engineering, equipment manufacturers, financial services companies, on-site energy production services, unregulated energy retailers and marketers. 

Each partnering SPP company can fall into one or more of three categories, which are listed below, along with the partnership requirements. Once a company meets one of these requirements, they can fill out an Online Partnership Agreement.

SPP, Commercial Buildings Companies assisting clients in benchmarking commercial buildings, improving performance, and earning recognition, using ENERGY STAR tools. Use Portfolio Manager to benchmark at least 10 buildings, or earn at least one ENERGY STAR certification for a client building in the last 12 months.
Architecture/ engineering firm Firms that use Target Finder to design new buildings that will earn ENERGY STAR certification. Submit a commercial new construction project that achieves Designed to Earn the ENERGY STAR.
Industrial SPP Companies providing a product or service that directly aids in improving energy efficiency of a customer's plant or operations. Submit a Teaming Profile outlining an energy efficiency project completed for an ENERGY STAR Industrial partner.
Web services provider Companies offering 1 – 100 ENERGY STAR scores as a part of their commercial energy information services Within the last 12 months, use Portfolio Manager to benchmark at least 10 buildings, or earn at least one ENERGY STAR certification for a client building
