What Federal Communications Commission (FCC) requirements must be met to qualify products to an ENERGY STAR lighting specification (e.g. Luminaires, Integral LED Lamps, Compact Fluorescent Lamps)? Follow

EPA's intention is for users of ENERGY STAR lighting specifications to be aware that the U.S. Federal Communications Commission enforces requirements as detailed in the Code of Federal Regulations, CFR Title 47 Parts 15 and 18.  EPA does not intend for testing requirements in ENERGY STAR lighting specifications to be more restrictive or burdensome than those which the FCC has historically required. Partners should contact their radiated emissions testing consultant, the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) or the FCC for additional guidance about FCC requirements for lighting products.
