What happens when a product that fails verification testing is related to other products via private labeling/product family? How does this failure affect other models certified with the same test data? Follow

In instances where a model is certified using another privately labeled or OEM model’s testing data, and/or the model is listed as an “additional model” (i.e. family model) of a certified model, if one model within the model group fails during verification or challenge testing, all models related to the failed model number are directly affected by the failure and will be addressed per the ENERGY STAR Disqualification Procedures. This ensures that all ENERGY STAR labeled products are delivering the expected performance and energy savings to consumers.
